Mark Miller Joins Hickory Global Partners

New York, NY – February 5, 2013: Hickory Global Partners (www.HickoryTravel.com), the corporate travel consortium, announced that Mark Miller has joined its management team to lead the airline program* and strategic partnership initiatives. Miller has an extensive industry background in relationship management, supplier relations and operations.

In the last decade, Miller served as Chief Operating Officer at Atlas Travel International in Boston, and Vice President, General Manager at Teplis Travel Service in Atlanta where he lead a post 9/11 turnaround. Prior to that, during a ten-year tenure at American Express Travel, Miller was Director of Supplier Relations, responsible for establishing the preferred supplier strategy and airline strategy.

According to Chris Dane, Hickory General Manager, "Mark is a very accomplished relationship and airlines executive, with a command of operations. That's a very valuable combination, and coupled with his energy and vision, that makes him a perfect choice to lead our popular air program and help to build our new marketplace of strategic partner services and products."

The Hickory air program currently leverages a portfolio of over 30 contracts with major suppliers, and has been a source of significant new revenue for Hickory agency partners.

A new 'marketplace' concept on PartnerHQ, Hickory's extranet for member agencies and suppliers, will feature negotiated opportunities from an array of travel business solution providers, with an eye toward new and cutting edge ideas to enhance operational efficiency, marketing effectiveness and agency profitability.
