Hickory Global Partners’ Logo Redesign Wins Graphic Design Industry Award

Delray Beach, FL – January 3, 2013: HICKORY GLOBAL PARTNERS (“HICKORY”; www.HickoryTravel.com), a strategic business alliance travel company, which provides innovative service, distribution and technology to their network of travel agency and supplier partners, announced that the company’s redesigned logo and the design firm behind it have won a 2013 American Graphic Design Award.

Hickory Global Partners turned to Andrea Messer and Justin Suissa with Suissa Messer Design + Consulting for the company’s logo redesign, in part, because the creative firm previously worked closely with several of Hickory Global Partners’ sister companies over the years.

Andrea Messer, the lead designer, had a clear creative direction from the start. “We understood early on that the new logo identity needed to signify that Hickory Global Partners is both a reinvented company and a company with a 40-year old legacy,” explained Ms. Messer. To achieve this balance between Hickory Global Partners’ past and its present vision for the future, she focused mainly on typographically-driven concepts that would convey a sense of professionalism, credibility, creativity and change.

The logo was designed to be elegant, yet modern – revealing the relaunched Hickory Global Partners as being at home in the corporate travel space and at the same time in line with the brand’s current attributes, which include technology, growing profitability, leadership, innovation, mutually beneficial and strong business partnerships as well as the use of metrics to demonstrate added value. The final logo features vivid green arrows in reference to a hickory tree while signifying movement and transition.
